Under Hessel Hoekstra, sire Comthago VDL is showing his great qualities at the highest level and, among other results, won the 3* Grand Prix of Ommen. His oldest offspring, including Noble Ami, Next Day VDL and Nena-Alve DV, are breaking through at 1.45m level at the age of eight. Waistjewel's granddam Elrite JR competed internationally at 1.35/1.40m level with Jonas Vervoort and also appears in the second generation behind the international 1.40m horse Nijerite, who competed in the World Championship final in Lanaken as a six-year-old and, like this colt, is by Comthago. This damline has also produced 1.50/1.60m horses such as Olympian Orestus, Maserati, Another Pleasure, Lupo 114, Helrite, Glierite and Famous.
